A Fresh Approach to Front Load Washers

No need to keep the washer door open for freshness on these front load washers!

When I say a fresh approach, I literally mean fresh! Until now, if you’ve had a front load clothes washer, you most likely leave the door open in between wash cycles so you don’t get a build up of mold or mildew (or that not so fresh smell…), right? Well, GE has solved this problem with their new UltraFresh Vent System with OdorBlock™. This new feature is perfect especially if you’re tight on space and your washer and dryer live in a laundry closet rather than an open, spacious laundry room!

So, let’s talk about what makes these washers so different than the traditional front loader. First, the gasket (the blue rim), is treated with Microban®, which is an antimicrobial and odor control technology that helps prevent the growth of bacteria. It’s not just the gasket that’s treated with Microban®; the soap dispenser and pump are as well! The vent you see on the front of the washer door is the first and only vent system that also prevents excess moisture from lingering, which prevents those nasty mildew odors. This washer doesn’t just give you fresh smelling clothes, but it also has plenty of additional features that make for a smooth laundry day, like built in Wi-Fi (so you can start and stop wash cycles from just about anywhere), SmartDispense™ Technology that stores up to 32 loads of detergent and gets dispensed as necessary through each wash cycle, and even a Dynamic Balancing Technology (dBT™), that will re-balance uneven wash loads to make sure every item gets washed evenly.
