Beach Cottage Chic

A whole house remodel in Santa Cruz, California.

From a disjointed space to a fluid, dreamy beach retreat —this home truly transformed in both size and style. We brought in a touch of fun with beautiful shades of blue and natural wood throughout.

Behind-the-design details for this whole home renovation project in Santa Cruz, California 95062:

This sweet beach cottage had a very disjointed floorplan with multiple little rooms accessed off of the main living space and the homeowners wanted a nice large kitchen for entertaining with a window that would open up to the yard for indoor-outoor living and cooking.  They also wanted a separate coffee/beverage bar area for specialty coffee drinks and counter space for daily meals as well as space for a small dining table.  The house was considered a 3 bed, 1 bath home, and we completely reconfigured the space to double the size of the kitchen, convert a bedroom to a second bath, and give the primary bedroom a large bathroom with a walk-in closet!

This project features custom painted white, flush inset cabinetry, quartz countertops, porcelain and glazed ceramic tile, brass and black plumbing fixtures and accents, an accordion kitchen window, painted white tongue and groove ceilings, and a brightly painted turquoise exterior white white trim, complete with an outdoor shower!
