Farmhouse Chic Baths: A Primary and Guest Bath Remodel

Chic, modern, and bright! We created a larger, brighter space for this project in Los Gatos, California. With semi-custom vanity cabinets, encaustic tiles, quartz countertops, and even vaulting the ceiling, these baths have been remodeled to be both beautiful and thoughtfully designed.

These two baths (a guest bath and a primary bath) were stripped down to the studs and completely remodeled. In the hall bath, we kept the layout the same, but updated all of the finishes and plumbing fixtures, which included new semi-custom vanity cabinets, quartz countertops, encaustic floor tile, antiqued subway tile with contrasting black metal trim, a mosaic accent tile in the shower niche, and a mix of brushed nickel and matte black metal accents. The primary bath includes semi-custom vanity cabinets, quartz countertops, a marble mosaic floor tile, porcelain shower wall tile, a quartz slab bench in the shower, and light fixtures, vanity sconces and a towel shelf from Pottery Barn, and a mix of brushed nickel and matte black metal accents as well. The primary bath was previously divided between the vanity and the toilet/shower area; taking out the dividing wall and vaulting the ceiling made this bathroom feel larger and brighter. We also replaced a single sink vanity with a double sink vanity and replaced the builder basic tub/shower combo with a wider shower with a frameless glass enclosure.
