Warm Wood Kitchen

This Warm Wood remodel project in Morgan Hill, California, will warm your heart and calm your mind. By making some smart interior design decisions we were able to double the space of the original kitchen! The updated design features white oak Dura Supreme cabinets, Quartz countertops, full-height stone and glass backsplash, and brass lantern pendants. The color palette is modern and inviting, the perfect personal retreat to come home to.

Project Details: This kitchen doubled in size, without adding any square footage or changing any exterior walls. We took down the interior wall that divided the kitchen from the dining room, and created a large open great room, then reduced the size of a formal living room to create a new informal dining room with a bar! We even kept all of the existing doors and windows and completely reconfigured the kitchen to have a large center island with seating and a built-in ‘boot bench’ with extra storage by the door to the garage. This kitchen features Dura Supreme quarter sawn white oak cabinets, Vadara quartz countertops, a glass and stone linear mosaic full height backsplash and engineered hardwood flooring. The appliances and plumbing fixtures are stainless steel, the cabinet hardware is brushed satin nickel and there are accents of modern gold in the light fixtures and counter stools, bringing everything together in a warm, cohesive palette.

This was a collaboration between E.L. Designs and Studio 38.
